Wakeboarding and Teak Surfing illegal in Indiana

Indiana Conservation Officers would like to inform the public that starting July 1st, 2011, new laws go into effect which will restrict “Wake Surfing” or “Teak Surfing” behind certain motorboats.

Teak Surfing became illegal behind all motorboats powered by an inboard engine, an inboard / outboard engine, or an outboard engine while the boat is underway at any speed or running at idle. Wake surfing also became illegal behind an inboard / outboard or an outboard motorboat.
