When the invasive aquatic plant hydrilla was found in Lake Manitou in Fulton County in 2006, it marked the first time the plant was found in the Midwest. The DNR acted immediately, closing Lake Manitou and issuing alerts for all lake users. Read more about hydrilla from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and do your part to stop aquatic hitchhikers. |
